The NHS Heroes Awards were held at London’s Hilton Park Lane Hotel on 13th May 2018 to mark and commemorate the 70th anniversary of The National Health Service. Broadcast on ITV and hosted by Paul O’Grady this special night paid tribute to just a few of the unsung heroes working within the NHS. The glittering bash was well attended by a host of stars and royalty, including: Simon Cowell, Dame Shirley Bassey and their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.
An experienced team of freelancers supplied by Studioforce played a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the NHS Heroes Awards. Drawing on their experience and expertise, the team including Scenic supervisor, carpenters and stage hands completed the set build. Studioforce also provided technicians to assist the lighting, sound, cameras and LED video installation for this prestigious event.
Working directly for ITV, the Studioforce team were tasked with everything from unloading equipment and returning empty flight cases to trucks and dressing the impressive stage, to installing the lighting rig audio and video equipment. Several the team remained on standby during the event to run production and provide any live set changes.
